The AFA Noreste association, in collaboration with the Valdemorillo City Council, will offer a free talk and discussion this Wednesday, April 15, to inform about Alzheimer's, its implications, and the support services available for patients and caregivers.

The event, which will take place in the multipurpose room of the Municipal Library (second floor of the María Giralt Building) at 7:00 PM, aims to bring AFA's work closer to residents and emphasize that Alzheimer's is a problem that concerns all of society. This initiative is part of the collaboration agreement between the council and the association to strengthen care for people with dementia in Valdemorillo.

"Hence the importance that so many families who have to face the multiple attentions and care required by an Alzheimer's patient feel heard and understood in this talk and learn firsthand everything that can help them, relying on the professionalism and experience of AFA."

Marco Sierra · Councillor for Social Services, Family and Natality
The Councillor for Social Services, Family and Natality, Marco Sierra, has encouraged citizens to attend this meeting, highlighting the importance for affected families to feel supported and to know the available resources. The talk will address AFA's objectives, focused on improving the quality of life for those affected and their environments, ensuring that no one feels alone in facing the disease.
Among the topics to be discussed, reference will be made to the mutual support group that the association periodically organizes on Mondays. This space allows family members and caregivers to share experiences, doubts, and concerns, offering valuable emotional and practical support. The initiative is backed by the Community of Madrid and the La Caixa Foundation, who also collaborate in holding this informative talk.
