The Soto del Real City Council, in collaboration with the Iberozoa Association and the Como.Cabras herd, will hold an open regenerative grazing day at the River Park on May 24th.

The event, scheduled from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, aims to educate citizens on the importance of extensive livestock farming in managing natural spaces. Throughout the afternoon, attendees will participate in informative talks about ruminant biology and the environmental benefits of grazing, such as vegetation control and soil health improvement.
In addition to the theoretical sessions, the day will include a citizen science activity where residents can record local biodiversity. The event will conclude with a guided route alongside the herd and the observation of the pen change, a common practice during the month the animals will be working in the municipality.
The organizers have reminded the public to maintain a respectful attitude toward the animals. Specifically, pet owners are requested to keep their animals on a leash at all times to prevent stress to the livestock while they are in the River Park.
