The City Council has completed various actions at the CEIP Antoniorrobles, CEIP San Lorenzo, and the Escuela Infantil Trébol. The works, carried out during the summer, focus on improving playgrounds, classrooms, and access areas, aiming to increase thermal comfort, add safety features, and create more functional and pleasant educational spaces.
At CEIP Antoniorrobles, a protective metal mesh has been installed in the sports hall to prevent birds from entering, with an investment of €29,327.39. The Primary school playground has been enhanced with a new pergola to create a shaded area, rubber flooring on climbing structures, and a bicycle rack, totaling €11,994.68. Additionally, thermal films were applied to the windows of the Primary pavilion (€6,508.59) to improve comfort. Future interventions will include false ceilings, new lighting, and landscape improvements in the playground, with an investment close to €100,000, partly funded by the Community of Madrid.
CEIP San Lorenzo has seen its entrance on Calle Calvario improved, with an investment of €3,221.50, to deter vandalism and provide a more pleasant access. In October, the Primary playground will be landscaped with green areas, benches, and new play spaces (€46,186.91). The remodeling of the main hall and the installation of air conditioning in first-floor classrooms are also planned, with an investment close to €120,000, also funded by the Community of Madrid.
The Escuela Infantil Trébol has received fans in all classrooms (€4,931.54) and its decorative patio mural has been renewed (€1,402.63) to enhance its appearance and comfort.
The City Council has also reinforced road safety with new signage on pedestrian crossings around all schools. These actions are part of the ongoing maintenance of educational facilities, prioritizing safety, accessibility, energy efficiency, and classroom comfort.
The mayor, Carlota López Esteban, emphasized that improving educational centers is a continuous and priority task, directly impacting the daily lives of students and teachers. She wished an excellent start to the school year to the entire educational community.
