The celebrations will begin on Saturday, May 16th, at the Casa de Cultura with a lecture titled “Positive Parenting: The Path to Reconnecting with Your Children and Transforming Your Relationship.” This talk, given by experts in child psychology and neuropsychology, will offer families new perspectives on children's behavior.
Simultaneously, to facilitate parental attendance, craft workshops called “Come and Have Fun” will be held. These workshops, aimed at children aged 3 to 12 and led by the Red Cross, will include badge making and games like foosball, with free access.
“"The goal is to raise awareness about the fundamental role of families in children's education from early childhood."
Music will also play a central role with the participation of the Recycling Music Orchestra, a social project that uses instruments made from recycled materials. On Saturday, May 16th, a “Recycling Instrument Workshop” will be offered for children aged 6 to 12, where they will learn to build a simple instrument and receive an introduction to percussion. Registration for this workshop, limited to 20 spots, opens on Tuesday, May 12th, via the municipal education department's email.
The grand finale will be the Recycling Concert, taking place on Sunday, May 17th, at 12:30 PM at the Real Coliseo Carlos III. Children participating in the instrument-building workshop will have the opportunity to join the orchestra for one of their pieces. Free tickets, with a maximum of four per person, can be collected at the theater box office during specific hours starting Friday, May 15th.
