The Plaza de la Constitución in San Lorenzo de El Escorial transforms this weekend, September 16th and 17th, into the venue for the first edition of its Book Fair.

The event aims to promote reading habits and serve as a meeting point for the public, writers, and the publishing sector. During the weekend, attendees will be able to explore the latest market releases, participate in book signings, and enjoy an environment dedicated to literature in the heart of the municipality.
The organization, led by a local cultural association with the support of the City Council, has prepared a diverse agenda ranging from recitals and talks to stage performances and concerts. More than 20 exhibitors will be present, offering a wide variety of genres including narrative, poetry, comics, and children's literature.
As a highlight, the fair will feature the presentation of an official mascot that represents the town's historical heritage and the spirit of the event. This initiative seeks to establish the gathering as an annual cultural reference for residents and visitors alike.
