The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility is carrying out road surface rehabilitation works on the N-6 highway, specifically on the section between kilometer 42.2 in Collado Villalba and kilometer 46.9 in Guadarrama. These actions are part of a maintenance contract for the State Road Network in the province of Madrid, awarded for 7.5 million euros.
The works will focus on several key points: the roundabout connecting the N-6 with the M-510 and the access to Villalba (km 42.2), a structure between kilometers 42.450 and 42.550, the main carriageway from km 42.3 to 46.9, and the bus stops located between kilometers 42 and 43.
To ensure safety, traffic closures will be implemented on one direction of the N-6 between km 42.2 and 46.9. Starting today, Monday, May 25, and for the next four weeks, these closures will occur during nighttime hours, except for the first week of June, when they will take place during daytime. The specific schedule is as follows: Monday to Thursday, from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM for the last weeks of May and the first two of June; and from Monday, June 1, to Thursday, June 4, from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, and on Friday, June 5, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
An alternative diversion will be established for traffic between kilometers 43.9 and 47.3 via the M-527, M-600, and M-614 roads. In the rest of the affected section, alternating passage will be provided through the lane not occupied by the works. Occasional temporary closures may occur at exits or entrances connecting to the highway, as well as at roundabouts.
Despite the signage for the diversions, drivers accessing Guadarrama are advised to use the exit at kilometer 47 of the AP-6 to facilitate their journey.
