Asphalt paving works on the M-610 road in Miraflores de la Sierra are causing traffic modifications and disruptions. The works, managed by the General Directorate of Roads, include milling and subsequent replacement and asphalting of the carriageway.
The Miraflores de la Sierra City Council has informed residents through social media and press releases to help them plan their journeys and use alternative routes. Mayor Luis Guadalix highlighted the importance of this action for the municipality's mobility, as the M-610 handles a significant portion of the traffic passing through the town.
According to the mayor, the affected section is located approximately between the area of the Civil Guard barracks and the junction with the road to Madrid. The operation may cause occasional traffic cuts and waiting times for drivers.
The Council recommends consulting updates on the progress of the works and opting for alternative routes to minimize inconvenience. The mayor acknowledged potential disturbances but stressed the importance of improving the condition of a road crucial for daily travel.
The schedule indicates that the works will take place between September 9th and 17th, executed in phases. The City Council continues to prioritize communication as a key tool to minimize the impact on mobility within the municipality.
