Citizens can now enjoy a selection of photographs from the Patron Saint Festivals on the official Facebook page of the City Council. The council has shared a link to relive the best moments of the celebrations.
The City Council wished to express its sincere gratitude to all those who made these festivals possible. Recognition is given to the work of municipal employees, including office staff, municipal services, street workers, and the Local Police, for their dedication in ensuring everything ran as smoothly as possible.
Thanks also extend to Civil Protection and the Civil Guard for their collaboration and availability during the festive days.
“"These festivals have unfortunately been marked by a particularly painful moment. On the night of September 4th, we suffered the loss of the technician and driver of the Orquesta Sándalo. From Navacerrada, we want to send a strong hug and all our affection to his family, colleagues, and friends, with whom we share the pain of this sad loss."
The appreciation is extended to the local groups (Peñas), the Senior Citizens' Center (Hogar del Pensionista), hospitality and business owners, as well as associations that have collaborated and participated in the program.
Finally, the statement emphasizes the importance of the residents, for their active participation, for coming out into the streets, and for making Navacerrada a meeting point between generations, filling the municipality with life. The message concludes by recalling that 'Festivals are programmed by a City Council, but made by a town'.
