The IES Carmen Martín Gaite in Moralzarzal will add a second TEA Classroom for the 2026-2027 academic year, increasing its capacity to support students with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

The upcoming 2026-2027 academic year will mark a milestone for the IES Carmen Martín Gaite in Moralzarzal with the addition of a second TEA Classroom (Autism Spectrum Disorder) to its facilities. This expansion addresses the need to provide adequate support for students with these needs, who come from both the municipality and nearby towns requiring this educational modality in Secondary Education.
The institute reaffirms its commitment to inclusion, dedicating a fully adapted space for the academic and personal development of these students during a crucial stage of their education.
The Regional Ministry of Education will provide the center with the necessary resources for the implementation of this new unit. This includes specific material resources for the classroom's conditioning and the incorporation of specialized professionals to the institute's staff starting in September.
Concurrently, during the holiday period, the IES Carmen Martín Gaite is undertaking various maintenance and renovation activities. These works include painting, repairing wall damage, and basic conservation tasks in classrooms. Furthermore, technological and cabling improvements are being made in the Vocational Training Classrooms, and a dividing partition will be constructed in the Technology Workshop to optimize group work splitting.
These improvement and conditioning actions aim to have the educational center fully prepared to welcome students at the beginning of the new academic year in September.
