The celebration, organized by the Festivals Department of the Guadarrama City Council and with the collaboration of the Mozas and Mozos societies, will begin at 10:00 PM. Attendees can enjoy live music by the duo 'Nueva Era' and taste a free barbecue with products such as chorizo and bacon, accompanied by water, offered by the department.
For safety reasons and to prevent issues recorded in previous years in garden areas, the event will take place in the La Sierra parking lot. This location addresses the need to manage the use of fire and its proximity to vegetation.
The arrival of midnight will mark the moment to light the large bonfire, with which, as tradition dictates, bad omens can be burned and the entrance of summer purified, on a day that celebrates the longest day of the year.
The bonfire lighting is scheduled for midnight, a symbolic act to burn away bad omens and welcome summer. Event security will be ensured by a joint operation including the Local Police, the Civil Guard, the Firefighters' unit, and volunteers from the Guadarrama Civil Protection Group.
The La Sierra parking lot will be closed for parking from Friday, June 26th, at 00:00 AM until Sunday, June 28th, at 09:00 AM. This closure is due to both the Municipal Market celebration on Friday morning and the bonfire event on Saturday night.
