The company Arat Veterinarios de Torrelodones S.L. will be responsible for providing services at the facilities located on Camino de Pradovera. The agreement, with an initial term of two years and extendable up to four, aims to improve resources and personnel dedicated to animal care.
To ensure a rapid response to collection requests, a 24-hour telephone support line has been established: 650 251 178. The tender process, which began on April 1, 2026, involved three companies and was finalized for a total amount of 256,093.23 euros, plus taxes, for the initial two-year period.
Among the improvements presented by the contractor are the inclusion of a director with veterinary qualifications and proven experience, two additional Veterinary Technical Assistants beyond the minimum requirements, an extra vehicle for animal transport, and reinforced material and personnel resources for feral cat colony management, including 33 more cages and 14 staff members.
The new management must comply with current legislation, including Law 7/2023 on the protection of animal rights and welfare and Law 4/2016 on the Protection of Companion Animals of the Community of Madrid.
