The Spanish women's 3v3 Floorball national team is in the final stages of preparation for the World Championship to be held in San Lorenzo de El Escorial from June 12-14, with the goal to "give it their all and enjoy to the fullest".

Just days before the start of the 3v3 Floorball World Championship, hosted at the Zaburdón sports complex in San Lorenzo de El Escorial, the national women's team is intensifying its training. The squad includes six players from Floorball Escorial, among them Eva Gil and Sara Martínez, recently recognized as best player and best coach for the 2025-2026 season, respectively.
"We are working on more specific aspects of 3v3, which differ from the 5v5 format we are more accustomed to," explained Sara Martínez, who has balanced her role as a player with that of coach for the senior men's team.
Eva Gil, one of the league's top scorers, emphasized the importance of local support: "We believe we have opportunities because we are playing at home, with our fans; we are very eager." Both players highlight the differences of the 3v3 format, describing it as "much faster" with "less time to think and react," demanding different tactical strategies compared to the classic format.
The Spanish squad, which also features four other players from Floorball Escorial (Paula Rodrigo, Clara Larnaudie, Zoe Rojo, and Ana Roldán) and four from Leganés (Hada Sánchez-Pascuala, Lidia González, Elena Muiño, and Astrid Olson), aims to go as far as possible in their first World Championship appearance. "We are going to give it our all and enjoy to the fullest to reflect the work we are doing," stated Eva Gil.
Regarding Group A, Sara Martínez identified Switzerland, the current world champion, as the strongest opponent. "It will be very difficult to win," she admitted, though she is confident in "approaching the game as physically strong as possible, with intense defense, and looking to capitalize on opportunities." The match against Hong Kong appears more accessible, while Hungary and Slovakia will be the other opponents in the group stage.
The group stage will take place on Friday, June 12, and the morning of Saturday, June 13, across the four rinks set up at the sports complex. The semifinals are scheduled for Sunday, June 14, in the morning, with the finals set for 3:15 PM (women's) and 4:00 PM (men's), followed by the medal ceremony.
The men's national team, composed entirely of players from CDE El Valle, will compete in Group F alongside Hungary, Italy, Cameroon, and Colombia.
