The intervention aims to improve road and pedestrian safety, as well as increase the energy efficiency of this important communication axis for the municipality. New double-arm lampposts will be installed on the median to enhance vehicle visibility, and additional luminaires will be placed on sidewalks to reinforce lighting in pedestrian transit areas.
The project addresses the need for better luminaire distribution and the reduction of areas with poor visibility. Manuel Moratiel Ibán street is a key route with significant traffic volume, access to services and commercial establishments, and serves as a communication link to other urbanizations and nearby municipalities.
The total investment amounts to 149,964.52 euros, broken down into an award of 123,937.62 euros and 26,026.90 euros for VAT. The work includes the installation of new luminaires, civil works, electrical installation, dismantling, and waste management.
Through this initiative, the El Escorial City Council continues its efforts in modernizing municipal infrastructure, improving safety, and enhancing energy efficiency, adapting public spaces to the current needs of the municipality.
