The El Escorial City Council is organizing the third edition of its Literature Festival, a cultural event spanning several weeks, with the Book Fair as its central highlight, scheduled for May 22, 23, and 24, featuring prominent authors.

The Book Fair, taking place in May, will be the core of this festival, offering attendees the chance to meet renowned and local writers. In addition to book signings, the program includes a variety of activities designed to promote reading among all audiences.
Literary celebrations will begin earlier, with a storytelling session by Alicia Cuenteando on April 23, commemorating Book Day. From April 20 to 24, a special book release and gifting initiative will be held, aiming to bring reading closer to more people.
Throughout May, the Casa de la Cultura will host the reading promotion workshops “Contamos y Creamos” on the 15th and 29th. On May 16, Andrés and Alberch will lead the writing and literature workshop “La Noche”. The festival will conclude in June with a new writing workshop.

"The aim is to continue the broad cultural offerings available throughout the year and to take advantage of the spring months to carry out special activities such as the Book Fair, which attracts more interested people every year."
