The duo El Mantel de Noa will bring their world music proposal to the La Torre Cultural Center in Guadarrama this Saturday, May 23rd. The recital promises to be a sonic journey focused on beauty and virtuosity, exploring compositions of European roots with uncommon instruments.
The performance will include sounds from instruments such as the Armenian duduk, Bulgarian gaida, diatonic accordion, Irish harp, Irish tin and low whistle, uilleann pipe, gaita de boto, and hurdy-gurdy. The duo, formed by Miguel Ángel Fraile and Pilar Gonzalvo, combines tradition with contemporary arrangements, encompassing influences from Andalusian, Iberian, Sephardic, Aragonese, Armenian, Irish, Italian, Bulgarian, Serbian, Romanian, Swedish, and Ukrainian cultures.
Under the title World Music, the Culture Department of the Guadarrama City Council is organizing this concert, which will feature melodies from the duo's second work, titled Islas Errantes. With over 30 years of musical experience, El Mantel de Noa aims to invite reflection and inner immersion through their music.
The concert will take place on Saturday, May 23rd, at 7:30 PM in the La Torre Cultural Center. Admission is 9 euros and tickets can be purchased in advance through the Culture Department's website or via the Guadarrama City Council's eAgora application.
