The interventions, which include improvements to pavements, lighting, creation of green areas, installation of urban furniture, and adaptation of children's play areas, have been carried out in towns such as El Boalo, Cercedilla, Estremera, Hoyo de Manzanares, Lozoya, Villalbilla, Ambite, Villamanta, Sevilla la Nueva, and Torrejón de Velasco.
The Minister of Presidency, Justice, and Local Administration, Miguel Ángel García Martín, highlighted that these investments reflect the «firm commitment of the Community of Madrid to the region's towns» and contribute to boosting the local economy and promoting tourism.
In Hoyo de Manzanares, nearly 300,000 euros have been invested for the rehabilitation of the Plaza Mayor and adjacent buildings, including restoration of arcades and granite paving.
El Boalo received over 110,000 euros for the Plaza de la Constitución, featuring new ornamental lighting, urban furniture, and an expanded children's area.
In Cercedilla, more than 235,000 euros were allocated to the connection between Pontezuela street and the Plaza Mayor, improving asphalt, burying cables, and installing high-efficiency lighting.
Estremera has seen its Plaza Juan Carlos I comprehensively remodeled with an investment of 200,000 euros, including pavement renewal and the creation of garden areas.
Sevilla la Nueva invested 300,000 euros in Plaza de España, with facade reforms, new urban furniture, vegetation, and the undergrounding of electrical and telephone networks.
Villalbilla received over 230,000 euros for improvements to the Plaza Mayor and the Fuente de la Plazuela, incorporating LED lighting and photocatalytic materials.
In Lozoya, nearly 100,000 euros were invested in renovating San Vicente and Salvador streets to enhance pedestrian accessibility in the area surrounding its main square.
Ambite received over 230,000 euros for the beautification of its Plaza Mayor through the renovation of stone and wrought iron finishes.
Villamanta allocated 200,000 euros to the remodeling of Plaza Juan Carlos I, creating green spaces, improving lighting, and installing sail awnings for shade.
Finally, in Torrejón de Velasco, over 160,000 euros were invested in transforming the children's park in Plaza de España with new play equipment and enhanced safety features.
These actions are part of the Beautification Plan of the Community of Madrid, within the Villages with Life program, which aims to improve public spaces, revitalize urban and rural centers, promote local tourism, and contribute to the economic and social development of the region's municipalities.
