This Saturday, July 18th, Becerril de la Sierra transforms with the sixteenth edition of ‘La Noche en Vela’, an evening that will fill its streets with light, music, and performances.

Becerril de la Sierra is preparing to celebrate the sixteenth edition of ‘La Noche en Vela’ this Saturday, July 18th. The event, anticipated by residents, will turn the municipality into a magical stage from dusk until dawn, with hundreds of candles illuminating the streets and creating a unique perspective of the town.
The monumental heritage of Becerril will serve as the backdrop for an experience that fuses music, street theater, dance, and circus arts. Each illuminated corner will offer a surprise, inviting attendees on a journey designed for the occasion.
The day will feature a parade by Steam Brass Band, performing in three sets (8:30 PM, 10:00 PM, and 12:00 AM), enlivening the streets with their energy and live rhythm. The company Associació Atempo Circ will present 'Remix' on Calle del Horno (9:00 PM), blending circus arts with musical hits. Later, on Calle Trigales (11:00 PM), Yllana will offer 'We Love Disco', a disco music show to close the night.
The music continues past midnight (12:30 AM) in Plaza de la Constitución with Darwin and their repertoire of Spanish pop-rock covers. Additionally, Calle Real will host an artisan market (8:00 PM - 2:00 AM), and the Cultural Center will exhibit works by students from CEIPSO Juan Ramón Jiménez on 80s disco music. The Ethnographic Museum will review the event's history.
To immortalize the night, Plaza Mariano Martín Ortuño and Calle Real will feature themed photocalls by Frikerfx (8:30 PM - 1:00 AM). The Councilor for Culture and Tourism, Gema Moreno Martín, encouraged participation, highlighting the opportunity to rediscover Becerril de la Sierra and its surroundings in the Sierra de Guadarrama.
The event also provides a boost for local commerce and hospitality, which join the celebration with gastronomic offerings. Complete itinerary information is available at lanocheenvela.es.
