The City Council of Becerril de la Sierra has received a subsidy of €40,000.00 from the Community of Madrid for the acquisition of a new police vehicle. This funding is part of Order 2882/2025, dated July 28, issued by the Minister of Environment, Agriculture and Interior, which announces grants for the purchase of material resources for local and municipal police forces in the region.
The initiative is part of the Support Program for Local Police Forces of the Community of Madrid, a multi-year plan that also aligns with the Comprehensive Citizen Security Strategy (ESICAM 179).
This new patrol vehicle is considered an essential tool for the mobility and operational base of officers in the municipality. Its incorporation will reduce response times to incidents, increase citizens' perception of security, and deter potential criminal or antisocial behavior.
