Seven cyclists injured in Brunete after being hit by a car

One cyclist is in serious condition with a head injury and was airlifted to Puerta de Hierro Hospital following the incident.

Seven cyclists were injured this Sunday after being run over by a car on the M-600 road near Brunete, in an incident that the Civil Guard is investigating.

The incident occurred around 9:30 AM at kilometer 33.900 of the road, involving the seven athletes and the driver of the vehicle. SUMMA 112 paramedics attended the scene to treat the affected individuals, all males between 25 and 50 years old.
Of the seven injured cyclists, one is in serious condition with a head injury and was airlifted to Puerta de Hierro Hospital. Four others sustained moderate injuries, and two had minor injuries.
The remaining cyclists suffered various traumas, fractures, and contusions, and were transferred to different hospitals in the Community of Madrid. The car driver, a 19-year-old young man, received assistance for an anxiety attack at the scene.
The Civil Guard has taken charge of the investigation to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the multiple cyclist collision.
