Railway traffic between Torrelodones and Las Matas was interrupted this Wednesday following an incident on the tracks, forcing the implementation of alternative road transport services.

The incident occurred around 11:15 AM, when a Media Distancia train traveling between León and Príncipe Pío came to a halt on track II. According to a spokesperson for the rail operator, the event caused disruptions to regular routes for approximately two hours.
Affected lines underwent operational changes: C-8 line trains operated only between Cercedilla and Torrelodones, while C-8a line trains ran between El Escorial and Torrelodones. Meanwhile, C-10 line services were maintained between Chamartín and Pinar de las Rozas.
To assist passengers, a specific commuter train was deployed to facilitate transfers via walkways on the tracks. A total of 60 passengers were transferred at 12:15 PM. Normal service was fully restored by 1:36 PM, once the incident management procedures were completed.
