Nearly 2,000 candidates are taking part this Friday, May 15, in the selection process for 19 administrative and assistant positions at the Majadahonda City Council, sparking significant complaints from applicants.

The exams, held at the Universidad Francisco de Vitoria, have drawn criticism from a group of applicants. The main grievance concerns the scheduling of the tests on a working day, which, according to those affected, hinders the attendance of those currently employed, as they have not been granted the necessary leave or given sufficient notice to adjust their work schedules.
The candidates have expressed their dissatisfaction through a letter, noting that the nine-day notice period is insufficient to manage time off or shift changes. They also pointed to previous challenges in local selection processes, urging for better planning in future calls to avoid potential discrimination.

"There are hundreds of us who work and will not be able to take the exam after paying the fees because we are working that day and are not granted permission."

The selection process consists of two eliminatory exercises: a 50-question multiple-choice test and a practical assessment. Candidates are prohibited from using electronic devices or watches, and the final grade will be determined by the sum of the scores obtained in both phases, in accordance with the criteria set by the selection board.
