Canal de Isabel II's works to renovate the water distribution network in Torrelodones will begin around September 2nd, causing the closure of one lane on the A-6 service road in the Villalba-Madrid direction.

The project, estimated to last four months, will focus on the section between kilometer points 32+010 and 32+200, parallel to the A-6. The work will allow for the replacement of approximately 270 meters of the current network with a new 80-millimeter ductile iron pipe.
The route of the new pipeline will start at the connection with Antonio Lasso street, at its intersection with the service road, and will continue north until the crossing with Monte Peregrinos street. Most of the work will be carried out in the strip of land between the sidewalk and property boundaries to minimize disruption.
However, about 190 meters of sidewalk will be affected and will be restored once the installation is complete. In two specific sections, the trench will be dug under the sidewalk, requiring a temporary diversion of pedestrian traffic onto the roadway.
The intervention also includes the renovation or adaptation of three water connections and the installation of maintenance elements such as valves and drainage systems. The total budget, covered by Canal de Isabel II, amounts to €99,921.94 for the general network and €5,034.83 for the connections (VAT included).
These works are part of a larger project encompassing about 600 meters of piping, aiming to improve the supply infrastructure and replace an obsolete section of the network.
