Galapagar has welcomed two new local police officers, formerly from the Army and Navy Corps, who are now patrolling the municipality's streets after finishing their training and practical periods.

The local police force in Galapagar was expanded this week with the permanent addition of two officers. These professionals, who previously served in the Army and Navy Corps, have successfully completed all stages of the selection and training process, including their practical period.
The two new officers are now providing regular service, patrolling the town's streets. Their duties focus on prevention, surveillance, and direct citizen assistance, thereby enhancing security within the municipality.
Municipal sources have noted that this addition follows the arrival of 15 other new officers in recent months. This increase in personnel aims to boost police presence and improve response capabilities to residents' needs.
Galapagar was a pioneer in Spain, alongside Madrid capital, in reserving specific positions within its Local Police for personnel from the Armed Forces. This initiative offers new professional opportunities to Tropa y Marinería members upon concluding their military careers.

"The incorporation of personnel from the Armed Forces means bringing highly prepared professionals to the Local Police, accustomed to working in situations of responsibility and committed to serving citizens."
