The Peñas Parade, a highly anticipated event particularly among young people, precedes the official proclamation that marks the start of the Patron Saint Festivals in Galapagar. Residents, often in costume, parade through the streets to the rhythm of charanga bands, heading towards the Plaza de la Constitución.
To boost participation and update the local registry of 'peñas' (groups or associations), the council will provide a gift. This incentive includes a selection of gastronomic products, excluding alcoholic beverages, sourced from local businesses. The initiative is open to all peñas that register with the municipality and take part in the parade.
The requirements to receive this token of appreciation are straightforward: peñas must first register in the City Council's local registry and then sign up to parade on September 10th.
Registrations are handled online via the City Council's electronic headquarters. The deadline to submit your registration is September 7th, inclusive.
