“"It is important to highlight the economic effort these grants represent for the City Council, with a record amount of 220,000 euros, aimed at supporting the education of Galapagar residents with amounts reaching up to 150 euros per student. These are grants that the socialist government withdrew, and which we have not only reinstated but multiplied. All of this adds to measures such as the reduction of municipal taxes and fees, as part of the mayor's government policy to always support the economy of the residents."

The Galapagar City Council has published the provisional list of school grants for the 2025-2026 academic year, an initiative designed to support local families with education-related expenses.
This call, which has received a total of 1,226 applications, aims to ease the financial burden on families for costs such as schooling, dining services, and educational materials.
Following the list's publication, a period of ten working days, extending until May 27, has been opened for interested parties to submit appeals or rectify any necessary documentation. This process must be completed through the General Registry on the municipal electronic headquarters, ensuring the corresponding file number is provided.
The total investment in these grants amounts to 220,000 euros, with a maximum of 150 euros per student, representing a significant effort by the council to support local education. This measure is part of a broader policy to bolster the local economy, which also includes reductions in municipal taxes and fees.
