The editorial team at MJD Magazin, which always received him with warmth and respect, laments the passing of don Alberto Gala, recalling his presence both at «Sol y Aire» and in the stands of the Cerro del Espino stadium.
The emotion of don Alberto Gala is recalled when listening to his son during the 2019 Majadahonda festival's opening speech. In that address, Gala mentioned that «Sol y Aire», opened by his parents Alberto and Ramona in 1975, is a family business he managed with his wife and daughters. He thanked the fan clubs, clubs, associations, and neighbors "who bring Majadahonda to life throughout the year, and especially Sol y Aire," concluding with cheers for the fan clubs, the Cristo de los Remedios, and Majadahonda.
That opening speech, which kicked off the festivities on September 13, 2019, was considered a success by public opinion. Alongside Alberto Gala, other well-known local business owners such as Joaquín Montes (Cafetería Niza), Elena Curiel (Churrería Madrileña), and Manuel Redondo (Cervecería Colón) conveyed the essence of Majadahonda and its people through their messages. The event took place in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento, despite initial rain, followed by the anticipated starting firework.
