The Collado Villalba City Council, through its Department of Seniors, has organized a free physical exercise and mobility workshop for individuals over 60 years of age.

The workshop, titled 'Physical Exercise and Mobility for Seniors', is part of the active aging and healthy habits promotion program. The activity, scheduled for June 19, is free of charge and is held in collaboration with the General Directorate for Senior Care and Dependency of the Community of Madrid.
Led by María Eugenia del Campo, the workshop will take place at the Senior Department facilities, located on the ground floor of the Municipal Senior Center (Plaza Príncipe de España, s/n), from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM. It is aimed at residents of the Community of Madrid aged over 60, with small groups of 10 to 25 participants to ensure personalized attention.
Over its 150-minute duration, the program will include warm-up exercises, joint mobility, leg and core muscle strengthening, balance and coordination improvement activities, stretching, muscle relaxation, and group dynamics. The main objective is to enhance mobility, promote personal autonomy, and contribute to preventing dependency, by integrating safe physical exercise into daily life.

"These types of initiatives promote healthy lifestyles and encourage the active participation of seniors in community life, improving physical condition, preventing functional decline, and fostering social relationships."

Estela Mosquera · Head of the Department of Seniors
Registration for the workshop can be made starting this Tuesday, June 9, at the Senior Department itself, from Monday to Thursday between 8:30 AM and 12:30 PM.
