The event, held at the Municipal Initiatives Center, marked the end of a project that officially concluded in May. During the day, municipal officials met with the participants to learn about their experiences and the difficulties identified in the current labor market, such as job insecurity and age-related barriers.
The training was aimed at unemployed individuals with prior qualifications, allowing for the full-time hiring of 11 cleaning professionals and 18 officers specialized in sectors such as masonry, locksmithing, painting, and electricity.
The total investment of the program exceeded 645,000 euros. This figure consists of a grant of over 500,000 euros from the Department of Economy, Finance and Employment of the Community of Madrid and the State Public Employment Service (SEPE), supplemented by more than 145,000 euros contributed directly by the municipal treasury.
