The fire started around 1:00 PM in the vicinity of Camino de la Zarzuela. A large operation, comprising six fire crews, forest agents, and three support helicopters, was quickly deployed to the scene. The flames began in a hedge of Arizona cypress belonging to a house and, fueled by the surrounding vegetation, advanced towards a nearby riverside area.
As a precautionary measure, emergency services advised several residents of nearby single-family homes to remain in their residences to avoid potential exposure to smoke. The Summa 112 deployed three medical units preventively, although ultimately no one required medical assistance during the intervention.
The efforts of the firefighting teams allowed the fire to be stabilized around 3:15 PM, significantly reducing the risk of spread. Subsequent work focused on the definitive control of the affected perimeter.
