The Casa de Cultura Paco de Lucía in Torrelodones was the venue for the 24th edition of the Rafael Botí Quick Painting Contest. The event, which had the collaboration of the Rafael Botí Foundation and the Casino Gran Madrid, attracted 50 artists who captured the streets, squares, and corners of the municipality.
After registration at the Casa de Cultura, participants began creating their works. Of the 50 works presented, a specialized jury selected 19 finalists before awarding the main prizes.
“"The jury deliberated on the results of the submitted works."
The Torrelodones City Council Prize, endowed with 3,500 euros, went to Paco Segovia Aguado. The Casino Gran Madrid Prize, with 2,000 euros, was awarded to Iker Mugarra San Martín. Meanwhile, Javier Tacón Clavaín won the Pintor Rafael Botí Prize, with a reward of 1,000 euros.
In addition to the main prizes, three honorable mentions (ex aequo) were given to Inmaculada Juárez, Cristóbal León García, and Pedro Orozco.
The awarded and selected works will be exhibited in the Rafael Botí and Villaseñor halls of the Casa de Cultura Paco de Lucía until September 15.
