The race, part of the local Run Series circuit, will serve as preparation for those wishing to compete in Madrid's San Silvestre Vallecana or simply as a way to enjoy running a few kilometers during the Christmas season. The start and finish lines will be located at the Plaza de la Constitución.
The competition is open to participants aged 12 and over, who can register for the 5 and 10 kilometer distances. Additionally, children's races will be organized, adapted to different age categories and participant numbers.
Registrations are now open for 14 euros for adults and free for children under 12 at www.sanselvestre.es. All runners will receive a commemorative t-shirt. Places are limited to 1,500 bibs for the 5 and 10 km races, and 300 for the children's races, assigned on a first-come, first-served basis until December 22nd, or until all places are filled.
The main categories will be divided into: Children (12-14 years, 5 km only), Youth (15-17 years, 5 or 10 km for those 16 and over), Senior (18-39 years), Veteran A (40-49 years), Veteran B (50-59 years), and Veteran C (60 years and over).
Bib collection will take place on December 23rd (5:00 PM - 8:00 PM) and December 26th (11:00 AM - 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM) in the lobby of the Polideportivo Dehesa Boyal. Non-residents or those with force majeure can collect their bibs on the race day (8:30 AM - 9:30 AM).
This sporting event will have a charitable purpose: a portion of the registration fees will go towards helping Álex, a child from the city. A 'Dorsal 0' (Bib 0) will also be available for those who wish to contribute voluntarily through direct donation via Bizum to the phone number 669930915 (concept: «Dorsal 0 Sanselvestre - La Carrera de Álex»).
