The deadline is today to register for both the center opening initiative during non-school weekdays at the beginning of the month and the Las Tardes del Cole de septiembre program. Both initiatives primarily target families with children in the second cycle of Early Childhood Education and Primary Education.
The Colegio abierto (Open School) program will run from Tuesday, September 1st to Friday, September 4th, at CEIP Valdepalitos, covering the days before the official start of classes. The center will be open from 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM, offering recreational and educational activities. The cost is 11.15 euros per day for those registered or enrolled in Alcobendas.
Additionally, Las Tardes del Cole de septiembre (September Afternoons at School) will operate from September 7th to 30th, extending school hours in public centers where sufficient demand exists. Families can choose from various schedule and day options, with prices varying based on the service contracted, including options with and without snacks, and single days for 5.35 euros.
Registrations, which must be completed online through the Alcobendas City Council's Electronic Office, are required even for those who have used these services in previous years. The council reminds that for the specific September alternatives, the deadline is strictly this Tuesday.
In addition to these options, the Alcobendas City Council maintains other programs such as Primeros en el Cole (First at School), which allows for earlier entry into the center, and the regular Tardes del Cole program, starting October 1st, extending student care after school hours.
