The Carmen de Michelena Popular University in Tres Cantos is hosting the cultural activity ‘Del papel al aire’ this Saturday, an event bringing together creative writing and oral storytelling.

Tres Cantos will be the venue this Saturday for the cultural activity ‘Del papel al aire’, an initiative organized by the Carmen de Michelena Popular University. The event will bring together participants from the Creative Writing workshop and the Oral Narration group at the auditorium of the Adolfo Suárez Cultural Center.
The initiative aims to bridge the gap between those who conceive stories through writing and those who bring them to life through spoken word. The goal is to illustrate how texts born from imagination gain a new dimension when narrated aloud, exploring the dialogue between writing and oral storytelling.
‘Del papel al aire’ emerges from the synergy between two disciplines linked to literary creation. The stories crafted in the Creative Writing workshop will be interpreted by members of the Oral Narration group, thus establishing a connection between the written word and its oral transmission. The activity will allow each story to develop its own rhythm and style of expression.
The Carmen de Michelena Popular University, an entity dedicated to promoting educational and cultural initiatives in the municipality, is organizing this event. The direction of the storytelling group is led by Amparo González García, who is coordinating this joint performance.
The event, taking place from 12:00 to 13:30 hours, seeks to bring the work of participants from both groups closer to the public and offer a meeting space between literary creation and the performing arts of narration. Attendees will be able to enjoy stories that transition from written format to oral interpretation, discovering how a story transforms when shared.
