During the month of April, Tres Cantos successfully reduced the number of unemployed individuals to 1,380, which is 16 fewer than in March. This decline solidifies the municipality's position with one of the lowest unemployment rates in the Community of Madrid, set at 3.75%.
The most significant data point for the period is observed in youth unemployment. The number of unemployed individuals under 25 years old decreased by approximately 32%, from 67 people in March to 46 in April. This positive trend suggests an increase in job opportunities and professional development for the youth in the locality.
The services sector continues to be the economic backbone of Tres Cantos, accounting for approximately 90% of local employment. This dominance highlights the dynamism of the municipality's business fabric and its capacity to create jobs.

The downward trend in unemployment in Tres Cantos remains consistent compared to 2024 and 2025, according to data from the Local Socioeconomic Observatory. Concurrently, the Community of Madrid also registered a decrease in unemployment in April, falling from 282,625 to 276,376 unemployed, while at the national level, the decline was from 2,419,712 to 2,357,044 people.
