The cultural agenda of Tres Cantos for today, May 30th, includes a dramatized reading of 'Caperucita en Manhattan' and a choral concert linked to the coral meeting in Aranjuez. Both proposals are organized by the Carmen de Michelena Popular University and feature the participation of its artistic groups.
The dramatized reading of 'Caperucita en Manhattan' will take place at 12:00 PM in the auditorium of the Adolfo Suárez Cultural Center in Tres Cantos. The play is an adaptation of the text by Carmen Martín Gaite, with stage direction by Diana Manrique de Antonio. The scenic proposal combines voice, movement, and plastic elements, with a dynamic approach where characters are interpreted by different actresses, who exchange representative elements to identify each role.
The story, set in New York, presents a contemporary reinterpretation of the traditional fairy tale of Little Red Riding Hood, focusing on issues such as freedom and fears. The production is aimed at young and adult audiences and will be performed by the interpretation group ALULA from the Popular University.
The program is completed with the concert 'Humanas Pasiones', performed by the choir Divertimento of the Carmen de Michelena Popular University. The performance is part of the 19th Coral Meeting in Aranjuez and will take place at 7:00 PM in the Isabel de Farnesio Cultural Center. The choir is directed by Dafne Figal Calaforra.
Both initiatives reflect the cultural activity developed by the Carmen de Michelena Popular University in Tres Cantos, combining local proposals with participation in cultural events from other municipalities.
