Tres Cantos is celebrating the 2026 Senior Days until June 6th, an initiative by the City Council that includes cultural, sports, and educational proposals to promote the well-being and participation of older adults, with a special focus on combating unwanted loneliness.

The 2026 Senior Days have commenced in Tres Cantos, offering a varied weekly program designed by the City Council for its older residents. The main objective is to promote active leisure, healthy aging, and combat unwanted loneliness through social activities.
The official inauguration took place at the Theater of the Adolfo Suárez Cultural Center, attended by the mayor, Jesús Moreno, and the Councilor for Seniors, Sonia del Amo, along with users, volunteers, and representatives from the Antonio Somalo Bernal Municipal Senior Center.
The program aims to stimulate physical and cognitive activity, as well as strengthen social relationships. It began with a Rocio mass and will continue with sessions of Pilates, stretching, dancing, Zumba, healthy walks, technology workshops, contests, musical performances, and intergenerational chess meetings.
In the educational aspect, talks on fraud prevention and legal protection will be held, providing practical information to attendees.
Culturally, highlights include the photography exhibition by Amnesty International titled Aging with Rights and a mobile photography exhibition created by participants of the municipal center's photography workshops.
The event will conclude on Friday, June 5th, with an outdoor snack-dinner in Pablo Iglesias Square, accompanied by music and dance. The final closing will be on Saturday, June 6th, with a special session of Chikung and the traditional Saturday Dance.
