The Tres Cantos City Council has activated its Pollen Map, a crucial digital tool to inform residents about high pollen levels in the Community of Madrid, which are expected to persist until June 30.

This initiative allows residents to consult precise data on allergenic plant species in the municipality, facilitating the planning of their daily activities and the adoption of preventive measures.
The Tres Cantos Pollen Map is integrated into the municipal website ‘Tres Cantos es verde’ and was developed by the Department of Public Services in coordination with the Public Health area. Its objective is to provide accessible information that helps the population anticipate allergy episodes, especially during spring, when respiratory conditions intensify.
The platform collects data on the location of plant and tree species that significantly impact people with respiratory allergies. The City Council maintains continuous coordination with the Community of Madrid to offer updated information through the PALINOCAM network, thus integrating local records with regional pollen concentration data.
The species causing the most problems during this period are grasses, plantago, and olive trees, responsible for a large part of the allergic episodes recorded in recent weeks. The Public Health area recommends avoiding outdoor activities during peak pollen concentration hours, keeping car windows closed while traveling, and using sunglasses or a mask if necessary.
Furthermore, it is advised to follow prescribed medical treatment and seek medical attention if symptoms worsen. This municipal strategy aims to improve public services through digital tools, providing useful and updated information for the health of residents.
