The event, running from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, will transform Plaza Concha Espina and its surroundings into a meeting point for book lovers. The day will feature local bookstores, reading points managed by municipal libraries, and the opportunity for attendees to discover the latest literary releases.
Among the highlighted activities is a school drawing contest for students from 2nd to 6th grade. Under the theme “The San Sebastián de los Reyes of the future,” participants can express their vision of how the municipality will evolve over time. Templates for the contest will be available in schools and at the five participating bookstores, and entries can be submitted until 3:00 PM on the same day.
The children's program is particularly extensive, with scrapbooking, bookmark, and drawing workshops, as well as an English storytelling session titled The Fancy Dress Fairy, offered by the Kids&Us company. Additionally, younger attendees can enjoy the ‘Reading Passport’ and a concert by Caracolino at 11:30 AM.
For adults, the fair will offer a prize draw for shoppers at 1:00 PM and a radio workshop, ‘Menudo Castillo,’ between 1:30 PM and 3:00 PM. There will also be an open mic space for poetry and micro-stories, encouraging citizen participation. Admission to all activities is free.
