The MadridPatina association is organizing a free urban skating event on May 31st in San Sebastián de los Reyes. This, the ninth edition of the event, promises to fill the streets of the Madrid municipality with activity.
The meeting point will be the Dehesa Boyal Sports Center at 10:30 AM, with activities running until approximately 2:00 PM. The main attraction is a 12-kilometer circular route through the city's main streets, which will have police escort to ensure participant safety.
The route is designed to be accessible to all skill levels, requiring only the basic ability to brake. This allows residents with varying skating experience to participate, offering a new perspective for exploring the city.
In addition to the route, the Dehesa Boyal Sports Center will host complementary activities such as roller dance, slalom, and rollerbasket. Classes will be available for those wishing to improve their technique or try new disciplines, along with games, prizes, and raffles to add a festive element.
Registration is completely free and can be completed through the MadridPatina website.
Organizers emphasize the mandatory use of helmets and recommend wrist guards, knee pads, and elbow pads. Carrying water is also advised, given the forecast for high temperatures at the end of May.
Sanse Skating Day has established itself as an active leisure event, combining sport, urban exploration, and participatory activities, making it an ideal plan for families or individuals.
