The municipality of San Sebastián de los Reyes is preparing to host its Book Fair next Sunday, April 26, in the Dehesa Vieja neighborhood, offering a day full of cultural and literary activities for all ages.

Plaza Concha Espina will be the main stage for this literary celebration, taking place between 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM. The event aims to encourage reading among citizens, with the active participation of local bookstores, municipal libraries, and various cultural entities.
Among the featured proposals is a drawing contest for schoolchildren from 2nd to 6th grade, under the theme ‘The San Sebastián de los Reyes of the future’. Participants can submit their creations until 3:00 PM at the designated stands, with templates available in educational centers and bookstores.
Additionally, children up to 12 years old can enjoy the ‘Reading Passport’, an initiative combining games and book-related activities, available from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
The cultural program includes book signings, street entertainment, and a reading point managed by municipal libraries. Events with specific schedules have also been organized, such as a concert by Caracolino at 11:30 AM, children's workshops on scrapbooking, bookmarks, and drawing from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM, and an English storytelling session titled The Fancy Dress Fairy at 12:45 PM.
The fair will also feature a prize draw for shoppers at 1:00 PM and a radio workshop ‘Menudo Castillo’ from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM. Bookstores such as Cuéntame otra vez, La Chata Merengüela, Merchus, Navacerrada Pernatel, and Queyo will have their own stands, and an open mic space will be set up for poetry and short story readings, promoting literary expression among residents.
