The Municipal Schools of Artistic Education in Tres Cantos have initiated the 2026-2027 academic year, enrolling over 1,400 students in Music, Dance, and Theater disciplines. Classes began on September 7th, welcoming students of various ages and levels.
The educational offering ranges from initial levels to advanced programs for those wishing to deepen their skills in these arts. The Municipal School of Music, located at Plaza del Ayuntamiento, 2, provides musical training for all ages, including Music and Movement for the youngest, complementary musical education, instrumental and vocal practice, and specific programs for adults. It also encourages participation in various ensembles such as orchestras, a band, vocal groups, and modern music combos.
Meanwhile, the Municipal School of Dance, situated at Plaza de la Estación, offers training starting from age 4 with Pre-Dance groups, introducing classical ballet and Spanish dance techniques. Students can continue their development in classical ballet, Spanish dance, flamenco, contemporary, and modern dance, with options for adults as well. The school complements its program with specific physical preparation for dance.
The offering is rounded out by the Municipal School of Theater, located at the Municipal Center 21 de Marzo. This school is organized into children's, pre-teen, and youth groups, in addition to introductory, advanced, and perfection levels for adults. Its methodology focuses on interpretation, verbal and physical expression, improvisation, character creation, and stage production, also working on creativity, communication, and teamwork.
