Worker Dies, Another Seriously Injured in Construction Collapse in San Sebastián de los Reyes

A 43-year-old worker has died and another, aged 36, has been seriously injured after the collapse of a floor in a house under construction in San Sebastián de los Reyes.

The incident occurred around 2:00 PM on Osa street in this Madrid municipality, according to information from 112 Comunidad de Madrid. Summa 112 emergency medical personnel were dispatched to the scene and found two workers affected by the collapse.
Paramedics performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers on one of the individuals, a 43-year-old man, but ultimately could not save his life and confirmed his death. The second worker, a 36-year-old male, received on-site treatment and was subsequently transferred to Hospital La Paz with a potentially serious prognosis.
Agents from the Local Police of San Sebastián de los Reyes and personnel from the Community of Madrid Fire Department also participated in the operation, assisting with rescue efforts and securing the area after the incident.
