The services sector has been crucial to this improvement, experiencing a 32% drop in unemployment between March and April, decreasing from 67 to 46 jobless individuals in this area. This sector accounts for nearly 90% of local employment, reflecting the strength of the municipality's business fabric.

The 3.75% unemployment rate in Tres Cantos is considered particularly favorable by the city council, surpassing the averages for the Community of Madrid and Spain. In the Community of Madrid, overall unemployment fell from 282,625 people in March to 276,376 in April, while in Spain, the number of unemployed decreased from 2,419,712 to 2,357,044 during the same period.
The downward trend in unemployment in Tres Cantos is consolidating compared to 2024 and 2025, with a significant decrease in youth unemployment. This is seen as a key indicator that young people are finding more job and professional development opportunities in the city.
