This initiative, promoted by the Department of Culture, aims to support the emerging music scene in the municipality and provide a platform for local artists. Selected groups will have the opportunity to perform on the “Escenario Salón” stage during breaks between the main acts of the festival.
Each performance will last approximately 20 minutes. Up to six musical projects will be chosen, three for each day of the festival. It is important to note that participation does not include financial compensation, but it offers significant promotion, visibility, and artistic exposure to the attending public, as well as professional technical conditions and dissemination through municipal and festival channels.
“"The initiative is born with the purpose of supporting the emerging music scene of the municipality and offering visibility to local artists within a large-format festival, with a wide and varied audience."
To participate, groups must meet several requirements: all members must be of legal age, at least one member must be registered in Alcobendas, the repertoire must be original (no covers), and the technical proposal must be viable and adapted to the festival format. Registrations are open from May 5 until May 29, 2026, and must be submitted through the Alcobendas City Council's electronic headquarters.
A technical commission, composed of staff from the City Council's Culture Department and music professionals, will evaluate the applications. Selection criteria include artistic quality (40%), suitability for the audience and festival identity (25%), production dimension and fit (15%), and diversity of styles and representation of the local fabric (20%). Results will be announced between June 12 and 15.
