The city of San Sebastián de los Reyes is preparing to host a significant cultural event focused on the figure of Alfred Eisenstaedt, one of the most important names in photojournalism. The event, part of the Los martes de la AFSSR (Tuesdays of AFSSR) series, will take place at 7:15 PM in the Centro Pablo Iglesias.
The session will be led by José Manuel Serrano Esparza, who will guide attendees through a carefully selected collection of images spanning Eisenstaedt's prolific career, from 1929 to 1993.
Considered an undisputed benchmark, Eisenstaedt produced approximately 2,600 reports and graced 92 covers of the prestigious Life magazine. His photographic legacy, exceeding one million images, includes portraits, everyday scenes, and crucial historical moments.
This conference is part of the regular programming of the Agrupación Fotográfica de San Sebastián de los Reyes (Photography Group of San Sebastián de los Reyes), an organization dedicated to the dissemination and training in photography for professionals and enthusiasts.
Admission to the event, held in the Auditorium of the Centro Pablo Iglesias (avenida Baunatal, 18), is free on a first-come, first-served basis. The aim is to introduce the public to Eisenstaedt's impact and contribution to photojournalism through an analysis of his most emblematic images.
