The Colmenar Viejo City Council has approved a new aid program for business innovation, allocated 200,000 euros for 2026, aiming to foster the digitalization and modernization of local businesses.

The municipal initiative seeks to facilitate the adoption of new technologies by companies and self-employed individuals in the area, covering up to 50% of the investment made in this field. Each applicant can receive a maximum grant of 2,000 euros.
Eligible beneficiaries include individuals, micro-enterprises, cooperatives, civil societies, and community property with tax residency in Colmenar Viejo. The aid will cover 50% of the presented expenses, with a limit of 4,000 euros in eligible investment (excluding VAT), resulting in the maximum grant of 2,000 euros per recipient.
Eligible expenses, which must have been invoiced and paid between January 1, 2025, and the official publication date of the call, include the acquisition of technological equipment such as POS systems, computers, or tablets, video surveillance systems, commercial modernization, investment in digital and media advertising, implementation of artificial intelligence, and process automation.
The application period will be open for 30 business days following the official publication in the Official Gazette of the Community of Madrid. The local government's Business Development department frames this initiative within a strategy to enhance local competitiveness and support businesses in adapting to current market demands.
