The ‘Pablo Ruiz Picasso’ Cultural Center in Colmenar Viejo presents a dual cultural offering this June with the collective exhibition ‘Entornos’ and a historical photography display.

Since June 5th, the Picasso Hall and the foyer of the cultural center have been hosting the collective exhibition ‘Entornos’, featuring one hundred works created by students from the ‘Pablo Neruda’ Cultural Center. The exhibition, open until June 29th, displays pieces in various disciplines including oil painting, watercolor, creative painting, ceramics, furniture restoration, crafts, and epoxy resin art.
‘Entornos’ not only showcases the participants' technical skills but also reflects their learning process and personal vision of the world. The exhibition's title refers to the shared space of the ‘Pablo Neruda’ Center, where different artistic and craft disciplines coexist, utilizing elements such as form, color, volume, texture, light, and shadow.
The ‘Pablo Neruda’ Cultural Center is solidifying its role as a cultural hub in Colmenar Viejo, offering a wide range of workshops and courses to foster creativity and learning among residents of all ages. This collective exhibition is the tangible result of the students' effort and dedication.
Concurrently, the ‘Javier Villán’ Hall continues until June 30th with the exhibition from the Colmenar Viejo Ancient Photography Contest. This initiative aims to recover and preserve the municipality's visual memory, offering residents a glimpse into the past and the collective identity of the town.
Both exhibitions share the goal of valuing local heritage: the current creative work of residents and the visual memories that form the town's history. Both exhibitions are free to visit.
The exhibitions can be visited at the ‘Pablo Ruiz Picasso’ Cultural Center, located at Calle de la Iglesia, number 12. The opening hours are Monday to Friday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, and Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
