The municipal government of San Sebastián de los Reyes has approved the project for the installation of a new collector on Federico García Lorca street. The initiative, with a budget of 173,158.87 euros and an estimated execution period of three months, aims to solve recurring flooding problems affecting this area and the Municipal Services Center.
The intervention will modify the current route of the collector running along Federico García Lorca street and connect it to the existing infrastructure on Facundo Navacerrada street. The current system has caused water accumulation and flooding inside the municipal building, issues that this work seeks to rectify. The project has the technical supervision of Canal de Isabel II.
The technical design includes the construction of a well to collect the discharge from the Municipal Services Center. Additionally, the collector descending along the west sidewalk will be intercepted to incorporate its water into the new planned route. A double well will be incorporated to optimize hydraulic flow, and the collector's diameter will be increased from DN400 mm to DN500 mm to enhance its evacuation capacity.
This investment aims to resolve a historical problem linked to intense rainfall events that have affected both the sanitation network and nearby municipal facilities, ensuring greater resilience against adverse weather phenomena.
