The activity, aimed at fostering neighborhood life and the use of public spaces as meeting points, will begin at 9:00 PM. The event includes chairs provided by the Neighborhood Association and free popcorn for all attendees.
Following the success of the first event in July, Más Madrid Tres Cantos has decided to repeat the experience. According to Teresa Zurita, spokesperson for the group, the previous reception confirmed residents' desire to enjoy cultural activities together in public squares.
“"The reception we had in July confirmed that there is a desire to live life in our squares and enjoy cultural activities together."
Zurita emphasizes the importance of squares becoming vibrant spaces for coexistence, not just thoroughfares. The initiative combines cultural leisure with advocating for public space as a site for community gathering.
In addition to the screening, the event will allow Más Madrid to continue collecting citizen proposals through its survey on the municipality's future. The group aims to understand residents' concerns and needs for their political work, promoting active participation beyond elections.
“"We cannot allow Nuevo Tres Cantos to become a desert of closed developments and asphalt without a single shadow, without squares and without public services."
“"Participation cannot be limited to voting every four years."
With this second outdoor cinema session, Más Madrid Tres Cantos reaffirms its commitment to bringing culture to the streets and squares of the municipality and to generating spaces for neighborly encounters.
