A serious traffic accident disrupted normal conditions on the M-100 highway, within the municipality of Cobeña, on Tuesday night. A semi-trailer truck overturned laterally around 9:30 PM, trapping the driver inside the cabin with injuries that were initially reported as potentially severe.
Firefighters from the Community of Madrid were dispatched to the scene to carry out rescue operations. Given the complexity of the rollover, specialized equipment was used to free the driver from the wreckage of the cabin. Once stabilized, a medical helicopter from SUMMA 112 transported the injured driver to the appropriate hospital.
The Civil Guard has launched an investigation to determine the exact causes of the heavy vehicle's overturn on this stretch of the M-100. Officers are collecting evidence and testimonies to reconstruct the sequence of events.
